Workshop: Story Medicine for Sex Education: Filling in the Gaps (SMSE-W)
If you are like many of us, much of the richness and diversity of human sexuality was omitted from the story you were told. This workshop experience is a new offering in the Story Medicine dynamic catalog. Iva Veasey, ACS, Certified Sexologist, will lead this workshop. Veasey, who holds certifications in performance wellness and mediation, combines these trainings to create a holistic, empowering and healing experience for participants.
The workshop will touch upon the range of how one understands and expresses sexuality and gender, sexual human rights, and will include an art exercise for an extra creative element to the learning. This workshop will potentially lead to a five-week class designed to explore the workshop material more in-depth, but from a foundation of biology and anatomy.
Please bring a journal, some drawing paper of your choice, a writing pen, some color markers and/or color pencils.
October 9, Saturday 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
SMSE-W Cost $49.00
Class: Women’s Word Medicine—Healing the Mother/Daughter Dynamic (WWM-C)
In this five-week class, we will explore the phenomenon known as “the feminine wound.” Through our in-depth discussions and discoveries, we will find ways to restore a greater degree of spiritual hygiene to our relationships with women, starting with ourselves, and our mothers and daughters. Join us as we venture into this realm so far left to “the mystery” and reclaim it for the health of our feminine wholeness.
Wednesdays 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. October 20 – November 17, 2021
